Well, as Kevin Durant on Twitter posted, “He’s the best scorer in the world.” That’s a pretty big accolade coming from one of the NBA’s leading scorers. But who is Jimmer Fredette really?
Jimmer Fredette will likely go down as BYU’s leading all-time scorer. His biggest accomplishment was only dropping 43 points against number 4 in the country San Diego State. Hence the term, You got Jimmered. Standing only 6’2″, short for NBA standards, Fredette is being compared to the likes of Stephen Curry, Rajon Rondo, and Chris Paul–they types of guys he’ll need to defend at the next level.
The best scorer in the world, averaging over 27 points a game, who would have thought a Mormon from Utah would have such basketball talent? While critics can’t agree exactly where he will be taken in the lottery round of the draft, most agree at least somewhere in the twenties. Oh, and the next time you see a player almost break an ankle in a basketball game, just remember, He got Jimmered.
