Christina Aguilera Botches National Anthem At Super Bowl XLV (Video) | America's Breaking Local And World News

AmericasNewsNow.com | Breaking News-Christina Aguilera Botches National Anthem At Super Bowl XLV. On the biggest stage at the biggest game in the world, pop superstar Christina Aguilera managed to botch the lyrics of America’s national anthem at Super Bowl XLV.

Aguilera botched the anthem by missing the “O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming,” line and singing “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming” instead. The words of the entire national anthem, along with Christina singing it, are below.

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro’ the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro’ the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

So what do you think of Christina Aguilera messing up the words to the national anthem at Super Bowl XLV? While it seems Aguilera recovered nicely, do you think she realized her mistake?
