UFC 126-Steven Seagal Takes Credit For Anderson Silva Front Kick Knockout (Video) | America's Breaking Local And World News

AmericasNewsNow | Breaking News-UFC 126-Steven Seagal Takes Credit For Anderson Silva Front Kick Knockout. If you weren’t aware of the results of the UFC 126 match between Anderson SIlva and Vitor Belfort, you can still catch a video of the fight here provided it hasn’t been taken down by Youtube. Afterwards, it seems Ariel Helwani caught up with Steven Seagal who seemed to take credit for the front kick that Silva used to knockout Belfort.

Steven Seagal has long since had a reputation as being a martial arts guru especially due to his roles on the big screen. But many movie goers don’t realize that what they see on screen, Seagal often practices in real life. Interviewed by mma reporter Ariel Helwani, Seagal explains that he taught the Karate Kid type front kick to Silva. Helwani then asked Seagal if he planned to teach other students in mixed martial arts. Seagal replied that he did it because of his relationship with Silva and his love for the sport–not to make money.

Helwani also asked Seagal where he met Silva. Seagal hesitated and had trouble remembering how he met the UFC champ. I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly not going to call out Seagal on his truthfulness. While I understand it’s possible that no one in the UFC has been knocked out before with that type of kick, I’m surprised Helwani seemed so enthralled by it and Seagal acted as if he had invented something new. I’m not volunteering to mess with Seagal, but didn’t Ralph Macchio learn that kick from Mr. Miyagi? In fact, I know I practiced that exact kick on a South Carolina beach some twenty years ago. I’m just saying…
